We believe that all Christians, in developing intimacy with Our Lord Jesus
and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, must live out their lives as a holy
sacrament. The sacraments outlined below are outward and visible signs of inward
and spiritual grace, given by Jesus Christ as sure and certain means
by which we receive that grace.
The Sacrament of Holy Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist is the sacrament commanded by Christ for the continual
remembrance of his life, death, and resurrection, until his coming again. The Holy
Eucharist is also called the Lord's Supper, and Holy Communion; it is also known
as the Divine Liturgy, the Mass, and the Great Offering. The Eucharist is the way
by which the sacrifice of Christ is made present, and in which he unites us to his
one offering of himself. The outward and visible sign in the Eucharist is bread and
wine, given and received according to Christ's command. The inward and spiritual
grace in the Holy Communion is the Body and Blood of Christ given to his people,
and received by faith. It is required of us to be a baptized believer in Jesus Christ
who has examined their life before God, repented of his or her sins, and desire to
follow his great commandment in Matthew 22:37-38.

Every Sunday at St. Anne's we have the Lord's Supper. Our two services are
8:00 and 10:30 a.m. For those unable to attend the service due to illness, one of our
clergy or lay Eucharistic ministers will come to you (home or hospital) and provide
the Eucharist to you. If you would like a visit to receive Communion, please call
the church office.

The Sacrament of Baptism

Holy Baptism is one of the two great sacraments (the other, the Eucharist) given
by Christ to His Church by which God adopts us as his children and makes us
members of Christ's Body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God. The
outward and visible sign in Baptism is water, in which the person is baptized in the
Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The inward and spiritual
grace in Baptism is union with Christ in his death in his death and resurrection,
birth into God's family the Church, the forgiveness of sins, and new life in the Holy
Spirit.

What is required to be baptized?
It is required that we renounce Satan, repent of our sins, and accept Jesus as our
Lord and Savior (Acts 2:36-41; Romans 10:9,10). Infants are baptized so that they
can share citizenship in the Covenant, membership in Christ and redemption by
God (Acts 10-11). Promises are made for them by their parents and sponsors,
who guarantee that the infants will be brought up within the Church, to known
Christ and be able to follow him.

If you would like to be baptized or have one of your children baptized, please
contact one of our clergy at the Church Office (760) 966-2950 for an appointment.

The preferred dates for Holy Baptism are:
All Saints' Day, November 1, 2007 (Thursday, 6:30 p.m.)
Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, January 13, 2008 (Sunday,10:30 a.m.)
Easter Vigil, March 22, 2008 (Saturday, 7 p.m.)
Day of Pentecost, May 11, 2008 (Sunday, 10:30 a.m.)
Other dates may be available depending on the needs of the parish

The Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Jesus Christ,
and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands
by our bishop, the Rt. Rev. Frank Lyons.

What is required to be confirmed?
It is required of those to be confirmed that they have been baptized, are sufficiently
instructed in the Christian Faith, are penitent for their sins, and are ready to affirm
their confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Confirmation is usually held once a year. Confirmation classes will be announced
in the newsletter. If you are interested in confirmation, please contact one of the
clergy at the church office (760) 966-2950.

Holy Orders

St. Anne's welcomes all those who believe that God may be leading
them into Holy Orders. The first step is to meet with Fr. Tony who will establish a
discernment committee to help you through this important listening process. It is
generally expected that those who are led by the Lord to seek the priesthood or
the deaconate must complete a minimum of a Master of Divinity degree program
approved by our Bishop, Frank Lyons.
Holy Matrimony

Holy Matrimony is Christian marriage, in which the woman and
man enter into a life-long union, make their vows before God and the Church, and
receive the grace and blessing of God to help them fulfill their vows. If you are
considering marriage, we invite you to contact one of the clergy at least four to six
months before the Wedding date so that you can have the proper pre-marital
counseling, secure the church facility, and receive approvals (if previously married)
by the Bishop.
Reconciliation of the Penitent

Reconciliation of the Penitent (Confession) is
heard by appointment throughout the Church Year. It is the rite in which those
who repent of their sins may confess them to God in the presence of a priest, and
receive the assurance of pardon and the grace of absolution. On Good Friday,
both Fr. Tony and Fr. Joe will year your confessions.
Unction of the Sick

The unction of the sick is the rite of anointing the sick with
oil, or the laying on of hands, by which God's grace is given for the healing of spirit,
mind, and body. This ministry is conducted by appointment within the Church Office,
at your home, hospital, or at the Christian Healing Center.
