Praise And Worship
"I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, and into His courts with
praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice for He has
made me glad" (poem based on Psalm 100:4)
The Choral Choir is an advanced choir whose only prerequisite
is that you be familiar with choral singing and can read music.
Our choral choir leads the 8:00 congregation in worship. The
Choral Choir focuses on traditional choir works both from the classical
library as well as the modern library of anthems. The Choral Choir is
also the lead worship team for our Liturgical days of celebration -
Advent, Christmas, Easter, and other special occasions. The Choral
Choir rehearses on Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 under the
direction of April Snyder our Organist. It is requested that they be at
Church on Sunday morning no later than 7:30 to warm up and get
robed. Orchestral and brass instruments are welcomed.
PRAISE TEAM
Our Praise Teams lead the 10:30 service in praise and
worship. Our focus is on contemporary praise music. We incorporate
all forms of instrumentation (orchestral and brass instruments as well
as guitars and other traditional Praise Band instruments). Youth are
encouraged to join us to learn and gain confidence and experience in
leading worship. There are two rehearsal times available.
CHIME CHOIR
Our Chime Choir is for ages 8 and up and makes a
wonderful family activity. Pastor Kathleen will be assisting us prepare
for chimes at Christmas. Rehearsal times will be immediately following
the 10:30 service and will be posted ahead of time.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Beginning in January of 2008 we will start our
Children's Choir. All those interested should contact Ed Stubbs.
CHORISTERS
Also new for 2008, the Choristers is designed for teens thru
adults who would like to sing in a choir setting but have not had the
opportunity to learn how to read music or who would like voice training.
It is an entry level choir which will work with familiar settings of
contemporary as well as classical works. The Choristers will minister at
the 10:30 service and join with the Choral Choir for special seasonal
works.
I am very excited about all of the music we have to offer our Lord and look forward to working with all of you who desire to be a part of this ministry. If you have any questions contact Ed Stubbs at 966-2950, or e-mail me at edstubbs@saintanneschurch.net |
